Experimental Change: WIN x ?WhatIf!

CHANGE is a big word that we hear a lot this time of year. When we think about the changes we want to make, it is tempting to leap to big, bold, and brave transformations. The problem is that most of the time, these lofty ambitions are doomed to fail. But what if we think about change differently, as an ongoing experiment that keeps us learning, growing, and improving in a sustainable, smart, and accessible way?

Over the last 26 years, ?What If! Innovation has experimented its way through over 10,000 business strategy, invention, and change challenges; trained over 50,000 executives; and generated over $70B in value.

We invite you to join Women in Innovation and ?What If! for an evening of experimental change. Discover and put into practice a simple, powerful methodology that can unlock fast, measurable change in your career, on your project teams, with your clients, or in your personal life.

Of course, there will be wonderful WIN company, drinks, and delicious snacks to fuel this energising, experimental evening.

NEW YORK

Conversations on Politics and Diversity in the Workplace: WIN x Professor Todd Jick x frog design

In 2017, a memo written by former Google engineer James Damore was released, in which he argued that men may be better suited for certain jobs than women. The reaction from Google employees and leadership, as well as non-Googlers, brought debates about how to handle workplace harassment and create a safe environment for all employees.

In partnership with frog design, we are thrilled to kick off 2019 with Professor Todd Jick, Columbia Business School professor and leading expert in Leadership and Organizational Change, as we discuss how companies are taking a stance on issues of politics and workplace diversity and how women can successfully engage in these conversations.

We will use Professor Jick’s recent case study on Google’s diversity challenges as a base for our discussion to walk away with concrete ways to bridge these conversations in the workplace.

As always, snacks and drinks will be provided.

Date: Thursday, January 31

Time: 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Address: frog design, 55 Prospect Street, Floor 7, Brooklyn, NY 11201

WIN Salon

Born from the insight that women in leadership positions in innovation are looking to connect with their peers in a more intimate forum, the WIN Salon is our invite-only, bi-monthly dinner series.

The goal for the dinner series is to bring together a small group of high-powered and highly empowering women in the innovation industry and provide a forum to speak to the challenges and opportunities of leading in this field.

Although we offer a topical prompt for the evening, our Salon is intentionally designed to be less structured than our monthly programming.

Who should attend?

The Salon is designed as an intimate forum for women with extensive experience in the innovation field (10-15+ years) or who are at the Director Level and above.

To be added to this invitation list, please email team@womenininnovation.co.
