VP of Product, Adore Me
Maribeth Gainard is a multilingual businesswoman with over ten years of experience working in international business and law. She is currently VP of Product at Adore Me, a disruptive e-commerce startup with a mission to revolutionize the lingerie industry and existing shopping behaviors and norms. She recently relocated to New York after over a decade in Europe where her last role was as CFO of 3SI Holding, a $1 billion retail e-commerce and logistics company with over 5,000 employees in 15 countries, headquartered in France with a German owner, the Otto Group.
Earlier in her career, Gainard practiced corporate and securities law at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London and worked as a financial auditor at Ernst & Young in Paris.
One of Gainard's primary interests is the social impact of business, an interest paralleled by her commitment to pro bono and volunteer work. After completing her undergraduate degrees she moved to Bamako, Mali to spend a year working in microfinance with women entrepreneurs. During her MBA she was awarded the Dean’s Service Award for her contributions to student life, including co-organization of the Innovating Social Change Conference. In law school Gainard worked to promote access to justice for prisoners in Malawi and while practicing law served several pro bono clients including Oxfam.
Gainard is a dual French and U.S. citizen and is currently a member of the Huntsman Program Alumni Council of the University of Pennsylvania, the Golden Seeds Angel Investing Network for Women-led Businesses and the Economic Club of New York Class of 2019 Fellows.
Gainard is a recipient of graduate fellowships from the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the Fulbright Program and the Rotary World Peace Fellowship Program.
Gainard holds graduate degrees from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law (JD), the Kellogg School of Management (MBA) and Sciences Po Paris (Masters). She completed undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania’s Huntsman Program earning a BS in Economics from the Wharton School and a BA in International Studies and French from the College of Arts and Sciences.
Gainard resides in New York City with her husband and daughter.
